I've really been slacking on this blogging thing. Sorry it has been so long. My goal for the rest of this month is to update at least once a week. I think I can manage that.

So, to catch everyone up... Ethan is doing great! He is really starting to become a little man with ideas, feelings and attitudes all his own (he couldn't possibly get his stubborn streak from Derrick or me)! He has gone from crawling to cruising and is really moving! Derrick and I take turns chasing him around the house and the dogs are having trouble finding sleeping spots where they cannot be disturbed.

Since he started pulling up, we have had to rearrange our living room. We had to move the glass coffee table out of the middle of the floor as Ethan was knocking his head on the glass and was enjoying using the metal parts of the table as a giant teether as well. It now is in pieces around the room; the glass is behind the entertainment center and the metal frame is on end in the corner behind the ottoman until we find a more permanent home for it in the basement storage.

I have tried as much as possible to baby proof the living and dining room so that Ethan can have full roam and explore as much as his little heart desires, but I am still finding things that I need to remove or put up higher... our living room is almost bare! His toys have also taken over our living space and I am working on a space all his own in the basement so he can play and have a great time without our living room looking like a daycare play area!

I will post some pictures soon... while on vacation in Minnesota visiting Megan at the end of last month (September) our camera broke! Ethan knocked it out of my hands and it broke on the ground... I have ordered a new one (it was unable to be fixed) and it should be coming any day now.
