Hammer Time!

Today I added a new activity to our shelf. We have been working on number recognition over the last few weeks and Ethan thought this was a lot of fun!

I love it when new activities are so easy to put together, and it is a bonus when they give an extra 10-15 minutes of quiet play. This one is made from a block of packing Styrofoam, Daddy's golf tees and a toy hammer.

Counting with Cheerios

After breakfast today we played with our food! We have been working on recognizing numbers and Ethan thought this was so much fun. I am working on making counting cards out of foam with larger circles for matching and more counting fun.

Following Patterns with Towers

Ethan has been in love with building towers for as long as I can remember... so I got this great idea for an activity here and thought we would make and put this on the shelf in the kitchen.


We had a great time making it together and the plastic picture frame in the Goodwill box got a new purpose. I am going to make some more for next week and maybe use the lacing beads and dowels.
