Scottsdale Villa Mirage Resort, Scottsdale, AZ

We traveled to Arizona to visit family and friends and stayed in Scottsdale at the Scottsdale Villa Mirage Resort. The accomidations were great and Ethan even had his own bed!

We stayed in Building #8, room 239, and it was a nice sized 2 bedroom unit. We had everything we needed (except tupperware storage containers) and the resort was located in an excellent part of Scottsdale and very close to everything. They even encouraged recycling on site and had a bin in the room for your recycling items.

The only complaint I had, besides the small and unsafe slide and play area (which they are expanding and updating next year), was the fact that we were on the 2nd floor and to get to the 'commons' area where the adult hot tub and BBQ grills were, you had to walk down and around the whole building to get there. If we were on the 1st floor it would be just outside our patio doors... but then we would have to worry about Scorpions, so I was okay with walking around. (I counted 124 steps from the bottom of our stairs to the BBQ grill as I made many trips cooking our chicken for meals.)

The highlight of our stay was the splash pad and kiddie wading pool area, and the hot tubs were HUGE. Sometimes it is hard to find a pool that is safe for the little ones to run around, but this one was great! The adult activites were a little weak, but they did offer 1-2 water aerobics classes during the stay and we played bingo at the poolside once. They even had a BBQ and Fiesta night, but we thought it was a bit pricy and didn't attend. Wireless internet was $25 for the week and we didn't have problems connecting. We had a great time!
