Our Baby Can Read

Ethan loves watching the "Your baby can read" videos. We watch 4-5 videos per week. I figure everyone needs a little bit of "veg-out" time every now and then. He becomes completely involved with the videos, eyes fixed on the TV and even drools all over the ottoman in front of him as he is so focused he doesn't move.

Last night, on our way home from Colorado Ethan and I were doing flash cards (no pictures, just words). We have been doing flash cards and watching the "Your baby can read" video since Ethan was 4 months old. On the way home he patted his leg and said "dog" when I showed him the flash card with the word "dog" on it. I didn't even say the word and he did the sign for dog. I tried it with a few other words and he can also recognize the word "wave" and "duck". Maybe this is a coencidence but I think he is picking up on the order of words and their meanings! I was skeptical but now I am actually seeing results. Babies are amazing in what they can learn!
