Getting Creative with Snap-Art

A few years ago I picked up a Snap-Art set at the thrift store for under a dollar.  It has been many hours of entertainment, and today was no different.

Everett pulled these out of our game closet and insisted I take a picture of his creation after he was finished building.   I don't recall the name of his creation, or if he even named it, but he was pretty proud of himself and continued to play with these small manipulative pieces long after I took the photo.

These pieces snap together for lots of open play.  They are like a cross between a Lego and a puzzle piece.

Full Day of Preschool Fun

Today, Everett practiced his counting, order of numbers, number recognition and balance/tower building all in one.  He had a lot of fun building with blocks and counting out the amount of blocks next to each number.

Later on, we worked on building foil boats for a science experiment Ethan was working on.  The kids had a lot of fun building and seeing how much their boats could hold before sinking.

This evening, while building another boat from tin foil, Everett fell asleep.  He was so sweet sleeping there, with the little sweat beads on his nose and all.  I couldn't resist taking his picture.  He's such a sweet boy!

A boat in the hand...

and one on the couch.  Poor guy was exhausted.

I love these little beads of sweat he gets on his nose!
