Things Kids Say

Ethan has been talking up a storm, and sometimes it is hard to get him to be quiet. His vocabulary is constantly growing and the phrases he uses crack Derrick and me up sometimes, just hearing them come out of his mouth.
Here are a few of our favorites:
"Be right back, guys." - this is so cute. We will be playing and he will need to get up or leave the room to go get something, and he lets us know he will be right back.
"... remember?" - this one took me a while to figure out what he was actually saying as it sounds like 'mem-mer', but now it is so funny. When Ethan was having a hard time with a situation or change in routine, I have told him "Remember, when we are finished shopping we are going to go home and play... remember?" - This is proof that he was listening.
"All done sleeping, Mommy-Daddy.(followed by the all done sign)" - in the morning this is what he says when he wants out of bed. He has been waking up early lately and is hard to convince that it is still time to sleep.
"Wow... PEOPLE!" - This was really funny and everyone around got a kick out of this. When we were at the Disney on Ice show, he didn't know the characters, but when a new one would come out, he knew that he was supposed to be excited, so he showed his excitement! He also said something similar to this after we saw Jolly Holiday Lights this past weekend. When we were driving into our neighborhood afterward, he pointed at a house that had Christmas lights and said "Wow, people's houses!" - because I usually try to point out the houses that have lights on them.

Such a cutie! He is so much fun! I am looking forward to more funny sentences!

  1. Lisa,

I am a big admirer of the way Darrick and you turn around the real estate properties. I have been studying Des Moines real estate since last 6 months and think you guys are awsome at buying the property and putting back on market in a week or so. How do you guys update properties so fast?

    Your admirer
