"Mom, should I wear shorts today?"

Well, it isn't quite shorts and t-shirt weather, but it is a beautiful, sunny, winter day here in Iowa!  We couldn't resist spending as much time as possible outside so we grabbed a sandwich from our favorite JJ's, brought some chips and drinks from home, and enjoyed a picnic lunch at the park.  After lunch the kids had a fun time climbing, sliding, running, riding and swinging. 

Now it is nap time and Ethan is out enjoying more sun and fresh air with the neighbor kids, it is such a great sound, their voices, laughter and joyful screams echoing between the houses.  Everett is fast asleep, tired out from all the outdoor fun, but when he wakes, we will head back outside to go on a walk and maybe break out the sidewalk chalk!  I really can't believe it is December 29th!  This weather has been a huge blessing and we are going to enjoy as much of it as possible!  The forecast for the weekend just gets better, with temps staying in the mid 50's.  Right now, the temp is 52!  It feels so refreshing standing in the sun!  I hope you enjoy the beautiful sunny weather too!
