Exploring the Witte Museum

After hiking, we headed over to the Witte Museum to check out their exhibits and see what they had to offer for fun things to do.  We were able to get in for free, since it is on our reciprocal pass for our local science center.

The exhibits were good, the kids enjoyed them, and the building itself was pretty impressive.

The kids had to avoid getting hit by the red dot that was moving around on the board.

Like dodge ball, if you were hit you were out.  It was actually a pretty cool exhibit/game.

Outside, was a cool water way and many things the kids could tinker with.

And a wall for the kids to make noise... banging pots, pans, tubs, buckets...

They really enjoyed it!
After exploring the Science Treehouse, we walked over to another building on the property, the South Texas Heritage Center to see what it had to offer.

This guy was very cool to watch.  He even responded to us when we spoke.

Very creepy!  He looked very real!  He said "Welcome" then told us a little about the Texas Heritage.
