At first it was small, pea-sized hail, but then nature cranked it up a notch. Marble-sized hail came coming down in full force and the kids went nuts, watching from the safety of our back door. It was deafening it was so loud, both the hail and the squeals from the kids.
I sent a photo to Derrick to and asked him how he was doing since he was out driving around, looking at houses. Luckily, he didn't get much for hail, mostly a lot of rain.
When it was done, we were left with a whole bunch of ice pellets covering everything and three kids that couldn't wait to play in it.
They put on their shoes, grabbed their Easter buckets, and had fun scooping the ice around on the deck. You would have thought it had hailed candy, they were having so much fun!
I think I was as amazed as they were about the amount of hail that came down.
Scooping it all into a pile, they had a conversation about making money by helping the neighbors scoop the hail from their decks. (Huffey kids are always thinking about making a buck!)
