Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with our Tuesday friends and had a great time! I picked up an Orange Clown Fish Pinata on clearance a few months ago at Target for $3.25 and filled it with candy for the kids to spill out. They had a great time hitting it with the table paper rolls, watching it move and then enjoying the candy when it opened up.

We made strawberry, peach, banana 'kiddie' margaritas and enjoyed hanging out with friends.

Ethan couldn't wait to tell Derrick all about how the candy came out of the pinata when he got home.

Later on we went outside to try and tackle the landscape around the small pond in our front yard. Ethan helped me pick up rocks and put them into 5-gallon buckets while I tried to remove some of the remaining mulch and get the plastic pulled up. We only got about 1/5 of it done, but we are making progress.

During our digging, we hit the jackpot of earthworms and Ethan was so excited! I put them on the sidewalk so he could see them crawl around and he got down, face to worm, and said 'sssss' (like a snake). He then wanted to try holding them and squealed a high pitch giggle while they moved around in his hand. It was a lot of fun seeing his face while we played in the dirt. I am loving this warm weather!!!
